What is PMEGP scheme?
Those in rural and urban areas can avail the PMEGP scheme for business purposes. This is a very beneficial scheme for people who are suffering from unemployment. This scheme is very useful for those who move from rural areas to urban areas due to lack of jobs.
Those in the general category will get a subsidy of 10% of the total project cost and those in the special category will get a subsidy of 5%.
The known PMEG loan limit ranges from Rs 9.5 lakh to Rs 22.75 lakh. Of this, loans up to Rs 10 lakh do not require any collateral. Work that takes a loan of Rs 5 lakh to Rs 25 lakh requires collateral provided by CGTSME. Loans up to Rs. 10 lakhs are available subject to conditions.

The interest rate is 11 to 12 per cent. Anyone over the age of 18 can apply for a loan. Eligibility is Class VIII to start a business in the manufacturing sector. Beneficiaries of any other scheme will not be able to apply for this scheme.
Applications can be submitted to the Production Cooperative Society and the Charitable Trust.
What are the documents required?
Applicant needs Aadhaar card, PAN card, project report, Rural Area Certificate, Education Certificate and Authorized Letter.
How to apply ? PMEGP
Open the PMEGP official website. Select the Application option and then the Individual or Non-Individual option. Fill in the name, sponsored agency and bank details of the applicant and then click on Save Data. Upload the required files and click on submit button. You will then receive a user ID and password. It can be used to do subsequent things.
