Kerala 1,887 free WiFi zones across the state

Kerala Free WiFi : Free Wi-Fi will be available at more than 2,000 selected centers across the state. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said this on Facebook.

The state government’s K-Fi scheme has got 1887 free Wi-Fi centers. Others are in the final stages. WiFi is available at select public places in all districts.

It will be available at bus stands, district administrative centers, panchayats, parks, major government offices and government hospitals. The project is being implemented by the State IT Mission and has been implemented along the coastal belt. Information on K-Fi’s current locations is available at www.itmission.kerala.gov.in

The Chief Minister said in a Facebook post that the free WiFi scheme would make it easy for the public to access various government services, information and related matters with transparency and ease.

The public can use WiFi up to a GB per day on their mobile phones and laptops for free. WiFi is available at speeds up to 10 Mbps.
