In our state many children are born with heart disease by birth. When Going to a private hospital for common cardiovascular diseases can cost a lot of money. Hridayam is a project launched by the state government in 2017 as a solution to this. Let’s see what are the features of this heart project hridyam.
Hridyam is a treatment plan that can be used equally by all people up to the age of 18 if a child has any heart condition from the day of birth, be it a heart valve defect or any other cardiovascular disease. In addition, the cost of treatment is 100% free. The cost of a heart operation in a private hospital would be around Rs 1.5 lakh.
But you can definitely do this surgery using the hridyam plan. If you have been treated at a private hospital, you will need to register online and submit any other documentation that is part of the Heart treatment. All documents uploaded in this way will be checked by a pediatrician on the part of the government and you will receive a call from the authority if your application is accepted.
There are currently 7 hospitals under the Hridayam project which will provide operational facilities where there are vacancies. These include Amrita Hospital and Sree Chitra, Lisi Hospital. You can choose a hospital of your choice. Then contact the hospital, your name will be registered with the hospital and follow-up action will be taken.
Applicants for the Heart Project can contact us online or through the District Hospital. Doing so will give you a contact number and a case number. Here’s how to put one together for use with your online plan.
- Step 1: Open the website hridyam.in
- Step 2: Now on the home page you can see all the cases registered so far this year and related information.
- Step 3: Click on the Registration button. Then enter your child’s name, date of birth, gender and district and click the save & next button. Enter your contact phone number on the next page. An OTP will be sent to this number. Enter it correctly.
- Step 4: Now you can see the information along with your case number and then enter the rest of the information. You can register very easily.
