- Step 1:After opening the browser, open the website parivahan.gov.in. You will then be taken to the home page of the Department of Transportation.
- Step 2:Select the driving license related service. Select Kerala in the State option. On the next page, select the Driving License option and Services on DL.
- Step 3:Now you can get services related to driving license online. After looking at them, click on the Continue button. Then enter your driving license number and date of birth and click on Get Details below.
- Step 4:Then you can see the information including the photo given on your driving license. Scroll down and enter the confirmation message that it is your driving license. Also select State and RTO. Click the Proceed button . Confirm and provide your driving license information once again. You can then enter all the information you need to enter, such as blood group,and mobile number etc..If you want to change the address, you can change it.
Then select the change biometric dl option selected by dl Services. Click the Proceed button. In the Purpose option, select the change the Biometric with new / change biometrics option. - Step 5:You will now see a message saying Data accepted successfully. Enter the declaration yes or no. Type the captcha below and click the submit button. You can not edit anything after that. Now you can see the message that the application has submitted. You will receive an acknowledgment receipt when you click on the OK button. The application form available now can be printed out. You can check the status of the application by clicking on the Next button. Here you can enter the uploaded photo and signature.
- Step 6:Next you can use any online payment method to make the payment. The charge for biometric change is Rs 460 plus a postal charge of Rs 45 plus a total payment of Rs 505.
You will need to book an appointment for this. Select the slot booking service for that. After receiving the appointment, go to the concerned RTO office along with the application fee receipt. The application will be approved by the Motor Vehicle Inspector. The renewed driving license can be obtained at home by postag.
