How to renew your driving license online? A driving license is the most important document required for a person to drive a vehicle. Driving without a driver’s license in India can result in hefty fines. Also, a person who does not have a driver’s license will face a hefty penalty if he is involved in an accident while driving. Every day, the Union Ministry of Transport tightens the traffic rules. Therefore, if any kind of violation is noticed, a large fine will be levied.

Today, many services of the Central Government are implemented online. Previously you had to go directly to the office to renew for driving license. But today anyone can easily renew their driving license through the online website. Carrying a non-renewed driving license is also punishable. And it is of no use. So be sure to renew your driving license at least a few days before it expires.

How to renew your driving license online step by step?

First, open the browser on your phone. Then open the website keralamvd.gov.in. Now you will see an option called License Renewal. In this, select the Apply Online option.

Now you come to a new page of the Kerala Motor Vehicle Department. Enter license renewal selected by your RTO office. Then type the license number as given in the license. Enter the expiration date of the license. Click the GO button.

Now you can see all the information about your driving license on one page according to the information you have given. Check that it is correct and then click on the Next button.

On the current page, you will see a box to change your address. If you want to edit the address, you can select the Edit option. If not, continue.

A box called License Renewal is now visible. Enter exactly where a captcha was entered. Then enter your mobile number. Just type in the email id given below.

Now you can see the information related to this license expiration. If it takes a few days for the license to expire, you may have to pay a fine.

The exact amount on the page will be given. The amount to be paid for the timely renewal of a license is Rs.550. But if there is a fine, it has to be paid along with it.

Then go back to the homepage. Now you can see that the page you entered is downloaded. Form 9 is required to download. Fill in your information accurately. The signature of the applicant should be put in all the required places. The photo will have to be pasted.

You can then use any of the online banking services to make payments. Cards and UPI methods can be selected for this. You will receive an ID when the payment is completed successfully. It should be saved for future purposes.

Then you have to pay and print it out. You can renew your license in two ways. One can register fast or through an envelope. Half of your form will be stored at the RTO office. This can be used if the license has not been obtained for any reason.
